she was fine an hour earlier.
we went to bed at 10pm.
she was laying in her bed next to mine.
Lisa take comfort in the knowlege you provided her with a great home and a loving family .
It will be hard on you ,but better to have her die quickly at such an advanced age than lingering and suffering....... with you having to make the hard decision of putting her down .
So sorry for your loss .....pets are just like family and they take a special place in our hearts
three of my kids live within two miles of where this tornado hit friday night.. it was a pretty frightful night.
my daughters apt was three inches from getting flooded.
we moved what we could to upstairs and on shelves.. stayed in half bath with grandbaby with pillows and blankets over the baby.. my son has been working at this site where it hit to help out.. these pics were taken today (sunday) can't imagine what it looked like yesterday, they said there were over 300 (worldly) .

I have an elderly aunt and uncle that live in northern Arkansas, Glencoe .I better call them Monday and make sure they are okay ...They are witnesses and I don't know if they would call if they had trouble or not

for a start, here is one question from my side.. 1) is the watchtower as a religious agency, constitutionally obliged to report to the un, the 'disgusting thing that cause desolation' and 'is under satan'?.
They bad mouth the UN ,governments, the use of blood ......unless it benifits their own needs . They are leeches sucking off what they need in society ,yet never supporting said society agencies ....

i thought it was time to "come out" as it were and voice my story.... i was born into the jw cult surrounded by all of my jw family.
grandfather was an elder for almost 40 years till he passed, both of my uncles are currently now elders and have been for the last 15 years.

My opinion about the Elder trying to turn over a study to you is - Go back and take it ! Then show the study all the information on freeminds.com you have researched ......You never know it might be your first new friend on the outside ...plus you would be doing this person a big favor by sharing the real truth with them about JW's ......inmho
i'm formerly from the jackson/cape girardeau area and am currently in st louis.. i've been out in the 'world' for 10 years.
this is the first time i've tried to contact anyone or really even read anything about the jw's (and former jw's).
to be quite honest, i was trying to forget that part of my life ever happened.
I know someone from that area that moved into our old hall before we quit . She was a young woman that married a boy from here . I traveled to the Jackson area to photograph their wedding . Hawkins was her last name her mom is a pioneer not sure if her Dad is an Elder . Does that name sound familiar ?
i would just like some opinions on something that seems strange to me.
there is a man at my sons' school who comes every day to pick up his daughter.
he has always been friendly with me, and i am friendly back, which is fine.
If it were me ....tomorrow I would hand back his business card ,and tell him my husband and I are not interested . Or in the very least give him back the card just so he realizes you have no intention of ever calling him . Then just start avoiding him completely .

epo injections have been on the acceptable list for quite some time - the preparation contains a small amount of albumin.. .
a friend of mine tells me a letter was read in his congregation last week after the service meeting stating that these injections don't contain any blood fractions and are no longer a conscience matter.. .

Witnesses never hear the risks associated With EPO either they only hear what they want and believe it is some miracle drug . For older , diabetic patients it increases their chance of blood clots and stroke ! We learned this the hard way when my Mom had open heart surgery . She just believed the 'Brothers' and Watchtower information over what her Doctor was trying to explain to her . She was so confused by it all that she accepted EPO ,but then rejected Albumin after surgery !!! NO sense what so ever ....
We also learned from the surgeons that whole blood transfusions is rarely ever done . It is almost always fractions of what the patient actually needs such as Mary said packed red blood cells .
I think the society is moving that direction too, eventually red packed cells will fall under acceptable conscience matter fractions . Just wait and see ....
as some here may know, i got a cat at the local shelter a couple of years ago.
max (short for maxine)...is a very good natured, loving cat...as much as a cat can be.
lately she has really been trying for my attention.... why?.
Snakes , Snakes , Snakes.........shakes head with a smile .......Alll will be well in your kitty kingdom just give them time .
Show Max extra attention ,maybe some treats . It is a good idea to separate the two at night . Does the 9 yr old have his own room ? If yes let the kitten stay with him in there at night w/door closed . That way they start to bond and the other cat will learn to avoid that room for now .Also it give the kitten company so less crying at night .
In our experience it takes a week or so for things to even out .

well after fading and keeping a low key i think the elders are finally going to get to me.
in 2007 i moved to another city but quickly moved back home about two months later.
the whole time everyone from my old congregation has been thinking i've been in another city.
After four years of fading the Elders finally called on us . It turns out the only reason they stopped by was because I had 'winter' decorations out this past December and they wanted to know if I was now celebrating Christmas ...... I agreed for them to stop by because I wanted to talk to them , but if you don't want a visit then YOU JUST SAY NO !!!
In your case I am sure they just want to encourage you to return to meetings . If you don't want to be bothered then do not give out your phone number #1 and if they stop by unannounced either don't answer the door or just say it is a bad time for you and close the door .
It is all up to you how you want to handle it . You can just say NO THANK YOU .......they are not authority figures in your life anymore . The power they possess is only the power you decide to give them !
I love the way one poster put it years ago ,she said just keep repeating a simple statement until they get it like : No thank you I couldn't think of any reason to meet with you . Or .....I couldn't imagine discusssing my personal life with you .OR.... No there is no need for you to come by for a visit .
